Beginners Yoga – 6wk course
A slower paced class with a focus on establishing the correct alignments and working with the breath to open your body and relieve tension. Increase your knowledge of the poses and their effects – improve flexibility, build strength, settle your nervous system and calm your mind. The next course starts February 4th, 2020.
Body Mind & Breath
A traditional style class where the physical practices – the postures and pranayama (breathing practices) – lead us into mindful awareness. Each class is designed to release tensions, build strength and balance and open your body to energy flow, cultivating steadiness of mind in the process.
This is an intermediate level class; some experience is recommended.
A Beginners+ class where we begin to build on the basics, exploring the poses, breathing and a little yogic philosophy in a warm and welcoming environment. Suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge of the poses and technique.
Svaroopa® Yoga teaches different ways of doing familiar poses: using precise alignments, strategic placement of props and gentle adjustments to open up the deepest tensions of your body. With this deep release comes a wide variety of physical benefits including relief from chronic or acute pain, stress reduction and management, increased flexibility and freedom of movement.
Suitable for those with no previous yoga experience but also offering a fresh approach to practice for experienced yogis.
Slow and deep, these classes are designed to release the deep tensions in your body and your mind. Improve your strength and flexibility, calm your mind, enjoy better sleep and feel good about life!
Yin Yoga is a slower, more meditative style of yoga where the poses are held for longer periods, applying moderate stress to the connective tissues. This increases circulation to the joints and improves mobility. It is an excellent complementary practice for runners and anyone doing intensive workouts.
Suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners.
A 75 minute dynamic and playful class designed to build heat, strength, flexibility and to enhance energy flow throughout th.e body.
This is an intermediate level class: some yoga experience is recommended
